Bordeaux: the Aquitaine Pearl

This city is well known for having the highest number of preserved historical buildings in France. They also have the world's major wine industry.

France is known for being a country filled with artistic influences that have impacted the world heritage through history. They have also been proud of keeping their historical symbols, with most of the monuments and relics from periods like
Renaissance still preserved until our time. This country treasures its past without forgetting the present, and it’s part of what makes France a point of reference that tourists feel unavoidably drawn to, attracting millions of visitors every year.
Bordeaux is the perfect example of the statement above. This port city is the second in having the highest amount of preserved historic buildings, making it a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. If that’s not enough, the city’s also classified as the “City of Art and History”. Tourists who visit Bordeaux notice that one day isn’t sufficient to discover the whole town’s amenities. Most of the places of interest are churches, contemporary structures, museums, parks and shopping centers.
This variety allows the travelers to be able to choose to visit places such as the Saint-André Cathedral and then go to the Musée d’Aquitaine in an instant while enjoying the beautiful sights and the developed urbanism of the city.
If you want to take on the city by foot, then you should visit the Place des Quinconces, as it is one of the largest city squares in all Europe. This square is filled with sculptures of historical events (like the triumph of the Republic sculpture) and other artistic showcases. There’s a tram system in the place if you’re done with walking and wish to know the area further.
The Aquitaine’s Pearl, Bordeaux, is the living example of how modern times can have a lot of the past in them and look even more appealing in the process.  This is one of the best locations you can visit if you want to experience a whole different take on the touristic appeal of France.
There’s no reason not to travel to this destination when you travel, so visit this French city! Need help planning the experience? Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman is the answer for you. Check their offers if you’re interested and travel with them as your advisors, contact information can be found below!
This square is filled with sculptures and monuments that give the place a tremendous historic value.

Why Should You Get Escorted Tours?

Knowledgeable vacation consultants are a great option. The're potential improvers of your travel experience.
Some confident travelers plan their trips and think there’s no way things could go wrong. They decide to set off and travel without making a sort of established plan and come across inconveniences that arise due to the lack of planning. What happens then? It can be something small, like losing your trip transportation. Or something more complex, like missing your booking, and finding all the hotels nearby are full for the weekend. Without a backup plan, a pleasant trip can turn into a horrendous experience. For that reason, escorted tours exist. And maybe, you should consider this option.
Escorted tours are believed to be unnecessary because of the overconfidence some tourists have, leading them to make mistakes and traveling blunders. All a consequence of traveling without plans or information whatsoever. Besides this, why do people choose escorted tours? Here’s a comprehensive list of reasons to show you how convenient it is:

-Arrangements:
Having someone making all the arrangements for you sure takes off some weight off your shoulders. Early planning means there won’t be the need to hunt for hotels. Also, it means you will avoid getting lost in a destination where you’ve probably never been. If you have a lot going on your mind and want to visit several places on your trip, having someone to cover your plans makes the experience easier.

-Custom-made itineraries:
Many cruise lines offer custom-made plans in their trips, so let's give it a different approach. Custom-made tours are just a different way of improving the destination itself. Having someone planning your itineraries based on your feedback and interests saves some time for both tour guides and you. Custom-made is just that: plans that are made especially to fit your needs, and to improve your experience.

-Safety assured:
Safety is a subject that concerns most travelers, especially parents who travel with their children. Guided tours reduce any risks by providing alternate routes or destinations if the area is unsafe for the family. Itineraries can also be modified if necessary, so you end up doing nothing, but enjoying another activity instead.

-Knowledge and experience:
Tour guides happen to be the best counselors for the traveling experience. The insight and advice they can share with you have no comparison, improving your journey a great deal. They can show some additional places and activities if you have spare time and want to enjoy some more.

If you want your experience to go smoothly and without complications, a trip advisor and an escorted tour will be the perfect option. There’s no need to worry about the costs if you pay for a package that includes it all, you only need to choose which one is going to guide you through your trip. My recommendation is that you check what the escorted tours, from Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman, have to offer on their website. Make sure you contact them. You won’t regret it!
These companies do their best to adapt to your needs and demands.

Uniworld: The Ultimate Cruise Ships for River Sails!

The benefits of cruising with Uniworld have no comparison. They have it all when it comes down to providing comfort for their passengers.

Sea cruising has everyone with their eyes set on it. The demand from tourists is as huge as airplane travels today. What I’m trying to say here is that travelers are looking to get the same amount of enjoyment (or more) in sea cruising than the inland experience itself. The trouble with sea cruising is that not everyone can cruise for so long. Some can barely afford a weekend getaway. Luckily for them, there’s the
river cruising as well!
If you want to know all about the river cruising check out this link; as for this entry, I’ll be focusing on a particular cruise line that’s been getting a lot of demand lately: Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.
But what’s the fuss over Uniworld? Well, not only they are the world’s ONLY boutique cruise line on the run, but they’re also the best when it comes down to offer luxury and comfort to their customers. In the matter of itineraries and destinations, Uniworld stands out as a cruise line featuring places such as Egypt, Russia, Europe, and Asia.
They’ve been in business for 40 years now, meaning that their role in the touristic industry is known and trusted around the world. If you need more evidence of their excellence, you can check more than 1700 reviews of customers who’ve sailed with them. They’re the ultimate proof of their labor in cruising.
Last year, Uniworld was recognized as both the World’s Best River Cruise Line, according to the Travel + Leisure awards program, and the Best Luxury River Cruise Line, in the Editor’s Picks awards from Cruise Critic (and other three awards, as well). This river cruise line doesn’t just excel in awards; customers who’ve lived the experience also recognize Uniworld as the best choice for their vacations.
Is there anything else you need to get convinced into trying this cruise line for the first time? If you were thinking about offers, they have that too! With early booking, you can get savings for groups and solo travelers, and full payment savings as well.
Now that every aspect’s been covered, all you need to do is choose. But before doing so, I have one last recommendation (and perhaps the best one): contact Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman now to get assistance and the best offers for the river cruise ship of your liking. Don’t let any detail slip in your experience. With them, you’ll be getting the best advice for your comfort both in the journey and upon arrival!
All Uniworld ships are very intimate, they also offer accommodations and gratuitiess on board for travelers.

Delta Queen: The National Treasure of River Cruising

This is the last steam-powered ship out there.
Historical landmarks are widespread throughout the world, and all of these hold a special meaning to the country where they belong. For example, the Boston Light and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad are both examples of national historic landmarks, as both were designated by the National Register of Historic Places, in 1964 and 2012 respectively. By now, you must be assuming that historical landmarks are limited to places and constructions, but let me show you that there’s a cruise so important that it became a landmark.
National historical landmarks don’t necessarily need to be sites and structures to fit the “landmark” canon: objects are also part of the recognition criteria of the United States Government. Do you want to know which was the cruise I was referring to before? It’s the Delta Queen.
But, how come a cruise earned such recognition? Before answering this, let’s put some context on this cruise ship. Back in the early 20th century, the Delta Queen was born, when ships were powered by steam engines and the trade on the Mississippi River was dominated by steamboats. In 1926, the ship was built in Stockton, California. At first, it did a regular service between San Francisco and Sacramento, but it didn’t take long until California Transportation Company drove it out of service and then sold to the Isbrandtsen Steamship Lines to be used on a different route.
From that moment until today, the Delta Queen ownership changed several times, from the Greene Line to the Delta Queen Steamboat Co. A curious fact about this ship is that, before being bought by its last owner, it was a floating hotel docked in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The ship was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, then subsequently declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989. This recognition was earned thanks to the countless years of service the ship had accomplished, and the efforts of Bill Muster and Betty Blake to maintain it on business.
There are many amazing stories behind certain ships, and these add more to their value when you travel on them. Nowadays many are sailing out there, and it’s hard to know the past behind each one of them but, as long as you continue to travel, you shall discover it yourself. Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman can help you make a choice as to which cruise to take if you’re looking for the best one (river or sea). Just contact them to get the best options and offers for you to travel!
This ship was declared a "National Treasure" by the National Trust for Historic Preservation on September 1989.

How to Cruise with Low Funds

It doesn't matter if you're short on funds, you can still enjoy a cruise experience.

There’s a common misconception around cruising, and it states that most cruises require a lot of money and are usually high in costs. Of course, some cruises are expensive because of the amount of accommodations and routes they follow.
Perhaps you just want to live the experience without so many complications, just to see the sea and enjoy some days off. Are you low on funds or just want to save some money on your sailings? Keep on reading, and you’ll see how to get it done.
Usually, travelers get tricked into the “all inclusive” cruises that claim to include everything you need for just one price. But upon arrival, you’ll notice that there are so many things to spend your money on that are not included in the price you paid for your cruise package.
Don’t go crazy about it; you can enjoy free activities and shows, eat your fill and lounge by the pool. Memorable experiences don’t necessarily involve extra expenses.
There’s no need to spend all your money while traveling. Here you’ll find some information to aid you on how to save money while cruising:

1.- Avoid shore excursions

You can be on your own while on shore as there’s no losing, and you’ll save money. If you can find independent shore excursions or tour guides by yourself, the expenses will be less compared to those the cruise offers. Wander freely and enjoy some personal time without many complications, with the help of a professional to assist you about the place you’re visiting.

2.- Turn off Wi-Fi

Tempting as it is, avoid Wi-Fi while sailing or at least limit your connection. Connecting at sea is pretty expensive (The prices range from 40 to 75 cents per minute), so opt for disconnecting, and you’ll save plenty of your money. Tell everyone you know you’ll be out of reach for a while and wait for a port of call to connect; there are plenty Wi-Fi hotspots to connect and communicate with friends back home.

3.- Restaurant packages savings

Probably, you’ll feel drawn to the specialty restaurants in the cruise, but they charge extra fees. Saving your money with free dining venues like buffets or outdoor grills will surely do the job. You should seek for more personal space and intimacy; you can always book dining packages that will save plenty of money.

4.- Tipping isn’t necessary

After a great service, you might feel the need to give a tip to the staff that made it all possible, but it would be advisable to avoid doing so. Most travelers are not aware of it, but the moment you pay for your cabin, the expenses include tipping to the members of the ship (this doesn’t apply for all cruises). Also, tipping off might not be well received from the dining staff, they could even feel insulted by it.

5.- Free Cruising!

Gather a group of your family members of friends and convince them to cruise together. How do you get to travel for free? Easy, many cruise lines reward the organizer behind a group of travelers with a free cruise (you don’t need to be premium to apply for this).
If you manage to organize a trip of, at least, 16 people in 8 cabins (two people in each) you’ll get a free ticket for yourself.
Money shouldn’t be an impediment if you desire to cruise overseas. Become a guru of your expenses while you travel, and you’ll enjoy an affordable trip. A good way to save money is to trust your trip to professionals like Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman. Their knowledge and insight in tourism are worth every cent, and if that’s not enough they have all cruise offers you need for a low-cost trip. Check their website and contact them now!
Avoid spending your savings on excessive luxuries while on your sails, save it for the moment you arrive.
