Waterlooplein

This is the oldest flea market in Amsterdam. Here you can find anything, from antiques to unusual knick-knacks, with over 300 stalls on any given day. This market tends to get a good amount of customers, but it’s a good place to check for tourists.

Condomerie

The Condomerie is indeed one of the most peculiar shops you’ll visit in Amsterdam, and the reason is simple: This store is marketed as the world’s first condom specialty shop. You can find all sorts of condoms from different flavors to sizes and style. If you want to visit, you’ll be able to find it in the Red Light District. This is more of a funny, unusual visit for the record.

Vondelbunker

There can’t be any more secrecy than this underground bunker has. If you’re passing through Vondelpark be sure to check under a bridge, there you’ll find the Vondelbunker. What’s so great about this place is that it hosts activities and events from different types. There are several bomb shelters around Amsterdam, but this is one you should visit.

Kattenkabinet

Imagine there was a museum made just for the worshipping of cats… Say no more! Kattenkabinet is a place with many paintings and drawings that feature these little felines. This unique museum is located inside a 17th-century house, all you have to do is look for number 497 and a black cat on top of the entrance.

Amsterdam is often considered the Venice of the North, and the name serves it right because of the high demand of touring the city has. Amsterdam: Capital City of Netherlands
