Most transactions, documents, and legal procedures are now electronic, but that doesn’t mean your passport won’t be required in certain countries. Check the expiring date and make sure it’s valid for the whole period of your cruise.

3.- Your visas are sacred. There are many sad stories of passengers being denied going ashore because they didn't have the appropriate permissions. Don’t just rely on the information provided by the cruise lines, take one step ahead and check every single requirement yourself. If you find out you're missing some, make your appointments and apply for these required visas. Permits take time to apply, be very careful not to miss a single one.

4.- Travel insurance, better purchase than regret. Purchasing travel insurance is always recommended in cruise trips. Ideally, things should go well on short trips, but world cruises are more complicated and longer. Who’s to say nothing could happen? While sailing, having medical coverage is necessary (and more if you have children with you) to avoid any unexpected complications. Ottawa: a Center of Culture

There are many curious facts about Ottawa, like the fact that there are five universities and two colleges.

In older posts, I discussed just how important it is for countries to provide the best conditions to their citizens. It’s important to point out that tourism also takes advantage of this: cities like Amsterdam are an excellent example of livability and tourism-potential. Any traveler would wish to be in a place where the conditions are just given to travel and visit. Today, our country of focus will be Canada and its capital, Ottawa.

Ottawa is not only filled with several places and activities for visitors and residents, but it’s also the house of most of the culture and history of the Canada. Seven national museums are located in Ottawa, all of them filled with history and artistic value. Diefenbunker Museum is a mandatory place to visit. This is a 100,000-square-foot underground bunker that was turned into a place for all sorts of exhibits, even though it was built as a protection measure for a potential nuclear war.

As you visit the capital, you’ll surely be engaged with every single activity there. The city features various escape-themed attractions that will play with your mind and challenge you. There are art classes for the entertainment of artists or curious tourists who seek to do something different.

Nighttime doesn’t stop Ottawa from being interesting. The awakening of the capital comes with the transformation of the ByWard Market district into the nucleus of the city’s nightlife. A broad variety of bars and lounges are spread across “the Market,” and there are some hotspots to get a glimpse of the live entertainment the night has to give.
