Norwegian Cruise Line: Its Foundation

They are well-known for having no pressure in the arrangements of meals, giving the costumers the freedom to eat when they want.

Cruise Lines have become a dominant part of the cruise market worldwide, making it a very profitable business. With the continuous growth and variety of cruises, the market itself has evolved. Travelers today are more demanding than before because after all, they’re paying to get a tailored service. They expect nothing but a cruise experience worth their while.

Norwegian Cruise Line is an innovative line of cruise travels, with a strategy that differentiates them from other lines: the Freestyle Cruising, a revolutionary concept that gives their passengers flexibility and the freedom to design their vacations. They also allow guests to choose whenever they wish to eat, offering a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, making it a richer experience. This resort-style cruise is the best alternative to the classical way cruises work.

This cruise line was founded originally under the name “Norwegian Caribbean Line” in 1966 by Knut Kloster and Ted Arison. They started operations with the Sunward, making its first sail on March 24th of that same year with a route between Southampton – Vigo – Lisbon – Gibraltar. The project was unsuccessful, and Arison soon left, while Kloster kept on and acquired additional ships.

Norwegian’s second ship, the Starward served as their first purpose-built ship, along with the Skyward. Both were adapted with many innovations that became standardized in the cruising industry. The Norway was one of the largest cruise ships in existence in 1979, a massive investment that earned its place among the cruises of that time.

Between 1997 and 2007, Norwegian made many expansion projects and acquisitions that further increased their place in the industry. In this period, several countries in Europe, along with Bermuda, and Hawaii were added to their cruise destinations.

As of today, Norwegian Cruise Line controls approximately 8% of the cruise market worldwide. It's been recognized as the “Best European Cruise Line” for the ninth year consecutively and the “Best Caribbean Cruise Line” for the 4th time; this cruise line has 50 years of success, and more  years to come.

If a travel agency wants to succeed in the tourism market, travel specialists will have to be capable of giving many alternatives to adapt to the their clients’ needs. No matter which destination you’re trying to sell, the key is to manage and sell an experience worth the spent. Consumers today can access the travel information they need in just a click or two, but as an expert, you need to provide them the answers they are looking for. Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman is the solution to that issue, contact them and you’ll get assisted properly on the matter.
Want to follow the sun instead of a schedule? Enjoy the feel of cruising without pressure or a fixed timetable.

Norwegian Cruise Line is Getting a Ferrari Racetrack

This is the first racetrack to be added in a cruise line, thanks to the association with Scuderia Ferrari.
The Norwegian Cruise Lines for those who don’t know, are a series of cruises incorporated with the best equipment made for sailing across the sea. All of them feature the capability to carry more than 2,000 guests, and all of them are capable of giving the customers the freedom and flexibility to discover all the different benefits each of them has to give. Regarding destinations, all cruise lines have different sets of places (all of them tourism-related) for clients to choose from, so they can have lots of options.

Added to the many different benefits the Norwegian Cruise Lines have, now there’s going to be an addition to the upcoming debut of the Norwegian Joy: the world’s premiere of the first racetrack at sea in partnership with Scuderia Ferrari.

This summer’s debut will be featuring the addition of a two-level track for go-karts, with the capability to have up to 10 drivers in one race. The go-karts will have a limit speed of 40 miles per hour. The racetrack will be in the upper part of the deck, making the experience more realistic and joyful, added to the view of the ocean.

Ferrari’s having a positive opportunity for branding with this partnership, as all the go-karts will have the Ferrari signature. This will make them more appealing for guests and will also give that feeling of driving an Italian sports car.

The Norwegian Cruise Lines will get their benefits from this acquisition from partnering with Ferrari, as this draws more variety to the cruising experience. There’s nothing more satisfying than having so many choices for relaxation and thrill in the same place. If you’re willing to try the experience in the different Norwegian Cruise Lines, contact Cruise Planners – Jason Hantman to get informed about the dates and destinations.
This is an opportunity for Ferrari to get featured in cruise lines and increase their popularity.
