With the capacity of housing 54,500 individuals, The BC Place is a stadium that houses the BC Sports Hall of Fame, and it’s the home of both the BC Lions (Canadian Football League) and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC (Major League Soccer). This stadium is the largest of its kind ever since it was opened to the public, in 1983.

The city also offers natural parks for tourists who enjoy being surrounded by nature. The Stanley Park is a public park established in 1888, in honor to Frederick Arthur Stanley. Its size is the product of the constant evolution of the forest and the urban space, and even though it's an urban park, it’s still filled with old trees (most of them over several hundred years old). There are many different animals in this park, including mammals like raccoons, coyotes, skunks, rabbits and squirrels.
