Liverpool: The World in One City

Because of its cultural and architectural value, the city was nominated as the capital of culture, along Stavanger and Norway.

Perhaps you have heard one or two songs by
The Beatles, and you’re aware of their impact in music. But they didn’t just change music; they also contributed in the tourism of a city called Liverpool. Now, we’re not here to talk about The Beatles (maybe just a little); the tourism in Liverpool is going to be our most important topic today.
What’s so special about this city, then? First of all, the astounding amount of places and activities you can do. You can visit the many restaurants of the gastronomic scene. There’s the possibility to enjoy the nightlife this city features, and you can also marvel with the cultural side of Liverpool that includes museums and art galleries (curiously, Liverpool has more museums and galleries than the rest of UK cities outside the capital).
Are you into festivals this summer? The Pier Head Village is the option you should try! The celebration takes place between 30 July – 10 September, with bars, great places to eat, thrilling rides and more. On the other hand, if you’re more of a calm tourist who hates being surrounded by people, you could just get a tour guide to help you out with choosing some relaxing spots in the city.
We reach the point where I am obligated to mention The Beatles, after all, it was thanks to them the city grew so much as a touristic landmark. The Cavern Club is the place where it all began: this was the very starting point of The Beatles’ musical identity. Whether you’re a fan or not, you should know that there’s an event called Beatleweek, an International Festival that celebrates the music of this band. There are only 40 days left for this festival, make sure you don’t miss it!
What are you waiting for? Start packing your things and sail off to the experience of a lifetime! Liverpool isn’t called the “World in One City” for no reason, and you’ll see why the moment you arrive there.
